Some partner
NGOs have faced problems in retaining their trained staff
and experience difficulties in organizational aspects while
others struggle to grasp the real meaning of the Study Circle
method. Though NDI encountered some delays in launching the
program due to the challenges associated with selecting NGO
partners and preparing them to conduct activities, the Institute
expects to increase the pace of program activities now that
a strong foundation has been established. The program encountered
a few start-up difficulties in the initial months, as NDI
had to establish policies and procedures, and sign agreements
with local NGOs before moving forward. However, steps have
been taken during this period to ensure that NGOs are capable
of following sound fiscal practices and implementing well-organized
Study Circles and are expected to increase the overall capacity
of partner NGOs and improve the quality and long-term results
of the Study Circle program. The NGOs are submitting fiscal
report regularly. |
